Firebase Study Jam 2020
Firebase Study Jam event was held on 29th February 2020 at NSBM Green University.
In this article I would like to talk about the Firebase Study Jam 2020. This event was held on 29th February 2020 at NSBM Green University. Event was organized by GDG Sri Lanka and NSBM FOSS community. The event was hosted aiming university first and second year students.
The event was started on 9.30 am. First session was “Introduction to Firebase” a brief introduction about Firebase for the beginners. In this session I was speak about Traditional Infrastructure vs. Firebase Infrastructure, Firebase Products and how to work with them. The presentation used for this session Google Slides.
The second session was started on 10.30 am. “Firebase Code-labs” the second session of the event began along with a hands-on Google Dev session. This session was done by Milindu S. Kumarage. In this session he speak about how to build and deploy an event RSVP and guestbook chat app using several Firebase products. Later the session was paused for the lunch break.
After the tea break the final session of the event “Firebase Extension-labs” done by Tharaka Devinda. In his session he speak about functionalities of Firebase Extensions, install and configure an extension in projects and how maintain extensions in the projects. The event was ended with the final hands-on Google Dev session.
This event ended successfully with the help of GDG Sri Lanka, NSBM FOSS Community and all the participants. Thank you all who helped in different ways to make the event a success.
